Happy New Year! It's hard to believe that another year has passed... I don't mean to sound too maudlin or morose - I'm simply shocked that it's 2017 already!
2016 has been quite a year, with amazing ups - and its fair share of downs too. But as we step into January, I still have my wonderful family and friends, my home, and Mr Maggie May - so it can't have been too bad a year.
Flicking through the photos, messages and cards from the last twelve months is a lovely way of reminding oneself of all that has gone on, and is something I'd definitely recommend doing with your loved ones to fight those January blues. But in the meantime, whilst you wait patiently for the rest of your clan to join you on the sofa, why not be nosy and have a browse at our 2016...

Doctor Who-Themed New Year's Eve Party
We saw in the New Year dressed as characters from our favourite TV show - I went as Clara, and Mr MM went as Matt Smith's Doctor - we were quite a pair...
Weekend in Snowdonia
A lovely few days were spent in peaceful north-west Wales with Mr MM's family - time to celebrate a couple of big birthdays, exchange late Christmas gifts, and catch up over a G&T {the January detox started a little later this year}

Climbing Ben Lomond
We climbed another mountain, and I only whinged a few times during the ascent {Mr MM would argue otherwise} Still, nothing beats the feeling and sense of achievement when you reach the top.

Girls' Weekend in London
We went out for dinner, had our make-up done by the lovely girls at Bobbi Brown, had afternoon tea, went out for cocktails - it was the perfect girly weekend with three of my lifelong besties.
#TheCornbills
Lucy and Tim got married, so we spruced ourselves up and danced until the early hours.

New Year's Eve
We waved goodbye to our 2016 with my family and some friends, clinking fizz, eating our own body weight in cheese, and singing Auld Lang Syne heartily at the stroke of midnight.
A very Happy New Year to all of you, and I hope that 2017 brings you happiness, health, and beautiful memories. January, we're ready for you!
